| I did the art work for the play, "The Great Big Doorstep" My sister was the actress, but I liked to work behind the scenes. I was usually involved in being the prompter, or in charge of art work or props. It was a lot of fun. Oh, and one more memory. My sister was the black (colored in those days) Rheba and her entering line was, "Damn those flies in the kitchen! Well, the director insisted she change the work damn to darn. Guess what? She barreled onstage shouting...Damn those flies in the kitchen & brought the house down. Good for her! | |
